A little arc that came to life.
ABOUT THE COLLECTION
What are Arclings?
Each Arcling is a 40×40 monochrome bitmap — 1,600 pixels that form a unique, living arc character. Every Arcling is mathematically generated on-chain.
The artwork isn't hosted on servers or IPFS. It lives entirely inside Arc smart contracts, rendered as clean SVG vectors on demand.
Arclings exist in standard "Ink on Paper" and rare "Inverted" styles, carrying combinations of unique traits like antennas, haloes, pebbles, and different body fill patterns.
On-Chain Architecture
A 40×40 monochrome grid where each bit represents a pixel. MSB-first binary encoding packs the visual asset extremely tightly.
SVGs are generated dynamically on-chain using row-scan RLE compression. The code, traits, and metadata are permanent.
The total supply matches the mathematical constant Tau (2π ≈ 6.283), marking the complete rotation of the circle.
Built Together
Arclings is a CC0 public domain project. The art, contract metadata, and client code belong to the community. There are no gatekeepers. The monochrome pixel aesthetic is a conscious design constraint that makes Arclings simple, lightweight, highly composable, and ready to be integrated into any client.
